Afortio provides complex solutions for Versant Object Database Management System (ODBMS), such as Versant Enterprise Manager - an application to provide users with easy yet powerful administration access to configuring Versant ODBMS servers and databases. Initially it was developed in order to simplify database management for our single particular application of our client. Later VEM was extended to support more database configurations and encapsulate most of Versant ODBMS database administration tasks within a single Windows-based application with rich and standard-based GUI for Windows platform.

Enterprise Manager for Versant ODBMS

Versant Enterprise Manager (VEM) was developed for WCOM AB (Sweden) to enable quick and simple maintenance of Versant databases they used. It provided users with common and well-known GUI similar to the MS SQL Enterprise Manager. VEM outperformed existing tools in terms of better user interface, easier execution of common routine tasks, by support of limited subset of SQL language and by combining several utilities to single application.
